Simplify Your Life: Simplifying your Environment

Welcome to our penultimate post of the ‘Simplify Your Life’ series, where today we will be diving into the art of simplifying your environment – both physical and social. Remember guys, we’re on a mission to create a space that nourishes our souls and supports our well-being

Let’s dive straight in!🤿

Now I don’t know about you but recently I have been feeling increasingly overwhelmed by physical clutter in my life to the point where it gives me a headache! By decluttering and organising your physical space, you create a sense of calm and tranquility and that’s what we’re after.

Feeling unsure about where to start?
Begin by assessing your physical space. I know all too well how our physical surroundings can have a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being, to the point where we sometimes feel claustrophobic (I hate that feeling!). So let’s start of simple. Take a look around your home and identify areas that feel cluttered or chaotic.

Next, consider your social environment – this also plays a crucial role in your overall well-being. It’s now time to take inventory of your relationships and commitments.

It’s a tough conversation to have with yourself but you’ve got to surround yourself with people who lift you up, inspire you, and support whatever journey you choose to take in life. Believe me when I say, you’ll thank yourself in the long run.

As always, there are several important things I want you to remember while you’re in the process of simplifying your environment:
💌 Progress, not perfection: Be patient with yourself and celebrate the small victories along the way.
💌 Trust your instincts: That gut feeling is very real! Listen to it and let it guide you in making decisions about what/who to keep and what/who to let go of in your environment.
💌 Embrace imperfection: Your environment doesn’t have to be picture-perfect to bring you joy. Allow it to design and curate a space that feels authentic and true to you.

It’s high time that we surround ourselves in a physical environment that brings us calm and clarity, and with people who uplift and inspire us. Consider this your sign to make a start on that.

Next week we’ll delve into our final part of the ‘Simplify Your Life’ series, and discuss ways in which we can develop a minimalist mindset.

Bisous bisous!
